Cats + Treatment

  • These are tumours of the blood vessels. Some are benign (haemangioma) but most are malignant (haemangiosarcoma).

  • Acupuncture is one of the oldest treatment methods in the world. It is also probably the most widely recognised form of so-called complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) which also includes homeopathy and herbal medicine.

  • As a form of physical therapy, massage therapy is the application of specific hand movements on a patient to improve muscle and joint function by relieving tension, spasm, or other restrictions to proper motion. It may be used for warm-up purposes, for relaxing or stimulating muscles in order to prevent injury, or for rehabilitation of a patient after an injury.

  • Cats do have a requirement for vitamin A in their diet and deficiency can lead to problems. However, too much vitamin A can also be harmful and this can lead to toxicity.

  • Vomiting describes the return of food from the stomach. It may be related to disorders of the stomach but is a sign that can occur with many other different diseases and problems.

  • Von Willebrands (VWD) disease is a very common inherited bleeding disorder affecting man and animals. It is due to a deficiency of a special protein known as VWD factor antigen.

  • Cancer is a disorder of cell growth (uncontrolled cell division) that results in an abnormal mass of tissue without a purpose. The growth exceeds that of normal tissue, is un-coordinated and persists after the cause has gone.
