  • Hawthorn bioflavonoids preserve circulation to the heart. In dogs and cats, they have been shown to improve blood circulation to the ventricles of the heart specifically.

  • Orthomolecular (from 'ortho' meaning 'right') therapy is the prevention and treatment of disease by using nutritional supplements. The health of the patient as well as their diet, environment and other external factors are taken into account.

  • Immune stimulants, or immunostimulants, are herbs or neutraceuticals (nutritional supplements) that have a beneficial effect on the body's ability to fight infection, disease and injury.

  • Magnetic therapy, more accurately termed magnetic field therapy, is the use of magnetic fields. Fields are generated by either permanent magnets or pulsed electromagnetic fields, for treatment of medical conditions.

  • MSM

MSM, (methylsulfonylmethane) also known as dimethylsulfone DMSO2 is a sulphur bearing compound that exists naturally in cows milk (its highest source), many fruits, grains and meat. It is a natural anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain killing) product.

  • N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a chemically modified form of the dietary amino acid cysteine. Cysteine and NAC contain sulphur, which is key to protecting the body from damage by oxidation.

  • The term 'nutraceutical' was coined to represent compounds found in food and herbs that are not technically considered nutrients (such as vitamins or minerals), but which may have a profoundly beneficial impact on the health of the body.

  • Olive leaf extract exhibits both anti-viral and antibacterial effects; it may also be effective against various yeast infections. The antioxidant properties in olive leaf extract may prove useful for the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis and dermatitis.

  • Essential fatty acids (EPAs) are fats and oils that are essential in the diet because the body cannot make them. They are extremely important nutrients for health.

  • Probiotics contain normal naturally occurring bacteria and yeast, and are used to re-colonise the gastrointestinal tract when the normal balance of microflora (bacteria) has become disturbed.
