Congratulations on becoming a proud new owner to your cute new puppy
But have you thought about their future as a part of your family? Did you know that the first few months of your puppy’s life is the most crucial time for bonding, socializing and training?
Puppy pre-school is for any breed of dog aged between 8-15 weeks of age. It is an ideal way to socialize your puppy and for your puppy to gain some basic obedience and commands and have fun doing it.
Our classes are run over a 5 night period . The initial information session is for owners only (no puppies allowed!) then followed by Tuesday evenings at the Gisborne Veterinary Clinic or the Woodend veterinary Centre on Wednesday evenings, from 6:45pm or 7:45pm (you will be allocated a time for your class).
The information session is held prior to the practical course and only owners will attend. This is to help minimize distraction from those gorgeous new pets!
We will cover the basic training such as Look, Sit, Stand and Stay commands with socializing and play a few games.
You will also have the opportunity to raise any concerns that you may be having with your new puppy.
The cost for the 5 sessions (4 week practical course & 1 information session) will be confirmed upon booking.

If your new family member does not fit into the age bracket for our puppy classes, we can also accommodate you with an information evening.
These sessions are able to provide you with information on bringing a new puppy into the new family situation as well as an information booklet and a treat pouch. Places for this session will need to be booked at the Gisborne Vet Clinic through reception and are at a cost of $50.
